My Father's Arrows: A Beacon of Hope

for Foster Children in Santa Rosa County

In the heart of the county, My Father's Arrows, stands as a pillar of compassion and
restoration for children navigating the very scary foster care world. Founded by a lady I
literally call an angel in human form Mrs. Sarah and Jason Ellis, this faith based,
community driven public charity is dedicated to providing safety, nurturing, and
stability to children impacted by trauma. With a mission rooted in Christian values, My
Father's Arrows creates a loving environment where children can heal, grow, and thrive,
regardless of their faith background.

Located in Jay, on a serene farmstead, the organization operates "Mama's House," an
8,400 square foot trauma informed children's home that serves as a safe haven for boys
and girls. The home, staffed by licensed foster families, offers a family like setting with
separate wings, ensuring children feel secure and most of all, valued. The campus
includes a year round K-12 private school, an organic market garden, aquaponics,
livestock, and enrichment activities like music, art, and equine therapy, all designed to
foster healing and personal growth.

My Father's Arrows addresses the foster care crisis we have here in Northwest Florida by advocating for vulnerable youth, recruiting caregivers, and providing essential resources. Their thrift store in Milton, opened in 2016, supplies free clothing, shoes, and household goods to foster families and aged out youth, easing the financial burden of care. The organization also hosts community events to raise awareness and funds.

With a commitment to long-term stability, My Father's Arrows is expanding. A recent
IMPACT 100 grant will fund a 3,000 square foot addition to Mama's House, tripling
capacity to serve more children. By offering hope to the hopeless and love to the
invisible, My Father's Arrows continues to transform lives, one child at a time.

He is advancing rapidly - a fortunate result of rapid response and treatment. BUT IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME to resume FLANK SPEED. So... Volunteers are stepping up. If you have a written feature you'd like to submit to the newsletter. Send it to vic@buzzcreek.com. Thanks.
